Alyssa Zapien

Alyssa is a clinical research coordinator with a BS in Neuroscience & Cognitive Science and an Emphasis in Neurobiology from the University of Arizona. She previously worked with Trauma Research at the University of Arizona in different clinical trials focused on blood components vs whole blood in trauma, traumatic brain injuries, and chilled platelets in complex cardiac surgeries. Alyssa is currently a clinical research coordinator with the RECOVER observational study in the AEGIS Consortium at the University of Arizona Health Sciences. In her free time, she likes to read, play her clarinet, and play with her cats, Valentino and Felix.
