Clinical Research Coordinator

Alison Slocum is currently a Clinical Research Coordinator II with the RECOVER Observational Study. Alison has prior experience in an Acute Care Hospital setting working with the adult population as a Licensed and Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant. She worked in this setting for 11 years in the ICU, orthopedic, neuro, cardiac, and medical units. She worked in this setting prior to COVID as well as 1.5 years during COVID. Alison's research experience started when she joined the AZ HEROES Study as a remote Clinical Research Coordinator II studying COVID and household transmission. Alison enjoys the challenges of coordinating study tasks, speaking with participants, and gathering multiple forms of data. After the AZ HEROES Study concluded, Alison joined the RECOVER Study to continue researching COVID. The participants in the RECOVER Study are very dedicated and active participants. Alison strives for excellence and hopes to be able to provide help for the population struggling with Long COVID.
